Field events have been designed to test a Retriever's natural drive; perseverance, marking ability; nose and trainability all play a large factor on his/her success. 

Presently the CKC sponsors three types of events, however they differ greatly in the degree of difficulty.

You may find some of the terminology new such as "mark" or "honour" or "land blind".
